This gorgeous Yair Emanuel Hand Painted white woven cotton Tallit features a breathtaking handpainted silk view of the streets of Jerusalem and sits on a blue and red background that includes the walls of the Old City. This view of Jerusalem is surrounded by stripes above and below and buildings shown on the image on this stunning shawl appear on each of its four corners that also have Tzitzit tied to them. The Atara (neckband) has the Hebrew text "Lehitatef BaTzitzit" painted on it in midnight blue, turquoise and gold and means "To don the Tzitzit" in English.

Artist Yair Emanuel, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem. His art is based upon a fusion of traditional motifs and ancient Jewish manuscripts with modern and oriental art.
